Finally the last continent to scour to find departed
spirits! The roof of the world, Northrend. Booty bay doesn’t have a zeppelin or
boat to Northrend but I know Orgrimmar has one.
North of the tundra lies the Scholazar Basin. This place
resembles Un’goro crater in a lot of ways as it seems like life has prospered
here and animals were able to evolve freely to match their environment
perfectly. Titanic artifacts litter the place and this time it’s a lot more
obvious compared to the ones in Un’goro. These machines is worth to take a look
at, so many secrets that are waiting to be found but again it is for another
time. 2 elders again and both are by a body of water.
Wintergrasp is west of the basin. This is a battlefield for
the alliance and horde forces as to who controls the mines as well as the
titanic vault. I was unlucky since by the time I came, the place is under
alliance control. I bravely flew past all the guards and met up with the
Earthen elder inside. I didn’t thought of the plan through, all of the sudden I
was cornered by the guards as flocks of them defend the only exit from the
keep. I was expecting the worst when I noticed a portal at the side. Without
thinking where is will lead me, I jumped in.
Dalaran! I was saved, well almost. This place is now hostile
towards the horde due to the actions of the previous warchief but thankfully I
still have friends in this place. They covered for me as I jumped down towards
the sewers and escaped. It would really be beneficial for Azeroth if Dalaran
took a neutral position again, gathering and sharing knowledge could be done
more efficiently. This is hoping that Khadgar will push his weight around as a
member of the council of six. I took a portal back to Northrend thanks to a few
favors as well as some gold.
I dropped by Dragonblight after the fiasco at Wintergrasp.
This is the famous dragon graveyard. The elders seem to promote equal opportunity
since there is an elder for both alliance and horde. There is also another one
by some Tuskarr. This place is full of interesting places to explore. There is
Azjol Nerub, the Wyrmrest Accord and the different dragon shrines. It would be
interesting to look into this place in detail but I’m in the middle of a quest.
Northwest is the Storm Peaks. Within this mountain range
lies several titan relics. This place holds so many secrets about the titans
and their experiments. You could even trace the creation of ancient races here.
Unfortunately, none of the elders here actually lived during the existence of
the titans to even know how to utilize any of the equipment they left behind,
such a shame.
Moving Southwest is the city of the ice trolls, Zul’Darak. Closer
inspection of the architecture would show that there were ancient titanic
structures here that the trolls have reclaimed and made their own. This place,
I could sense so much blood shed has occurred here. These trolls must be using
some dark magic which is interesting to study but there doesn’t seem to be any
documents or any specialists left. I’ll look into this one in the future but
then maybe not. Troll magic is too primitive, yet very complicated. The elders
here are no help as well about the matter as they are not troll but Taunka.
Away from the darkness of a dying troll city and into the
woodlands of Grizzly Hills. There is an elder nearby the camps and there is
also one on a sunken highborn ruins. This place is peaceful enough that I might
consider building a retreat here but the natives might not want a warlock
setting up anything here.
With this, I have met all the elders of Azeroth. Maybe not
all of them but that should conclude my wandering around the world. There are elders
that have hidden themselves in more dangerous places and they will have their
own entry.
